Sharing the wealth by Charlie BadenhopAlthough Tokyo is a huge metropolis, there are many small streets and quiet areas where one can feel at ease. I live about a half hour from the center of town and my neighborhood has the feel of a small village.

I live in a large ground floor corner apartment in a three story building and my apartment also serves as my office. I love the comfort of working from home, and I feel great not having to commute to work every day.

Two sides of my apartment have verandas that run the full length and width of my space. On the side that houses my office and treatment room I have numerous beautiful plants and flowers growing and a large birdfeeder that attracts many of the locals.

July Breathing Newsletter by Dan BruleWelcome to the July 2009 Breath and Breathing Report.

I'm in Barcelona at the moment, feeling so grateful to Sylvia (www.rebirthinginjoy.com) for organizing such a wonderful event here!  On July 14, I'll head to Baikal Lake in Russia the largest and deepest fresh water lake on earth, then to Novosibirsk (haven't been there since 1992 when I worked with world champion Greco-Roman wrestler Sasha Karilen). After that, I'll go to Issyk-kul Lake in Kyrgyzstan for another amazing retreat!
What is happiness? by Paulo CoehloThis is a question that has not bothered me for a long time, precisely because I don't know how to answer it.

I am not the only one. Through all these years I have lived with all sorts of people: rich and poor, powerful and mediocre. In the eyes of all who have crossed my path – and here I include warriors and wise men, people who should have nothing to complain about - I have always found that there was something missing.

Breathe.

Breathing can transform your life.

If you feel stressed out and overwhelmed, breathe. It will calm you and release the tensions.
When you're not here... Where are you? by Charlie Badenhop"When you're not here... Where are you?" This was the question posed by a Japanese friend sitting at a table near me in our local coffee shop.

"Huh?" I said, as I oriented back to being in the room.

"Well I've known you for some time now" he said, "And I've never seen you go so far away while sitting here."

It's true that I was sitting in the coffee shop, but was somewhere else emotionally. I had transported myself back in time, thinking about the wonderful experiences I had with my teacher Eva who recently passed away, and her husband Gene.
PCRecently I read an interesting polemic article in the American newspaper New York Times (25/03/2008). Written by Natalie Angier, the text is based on the research of prominent biologists and psychologists concerning monogamy. The conclusion that they reach is impressive: conjugal infidelity is present throughout the animal kingdom.

And that's not all: studies have shown that certain species "pay” for sex, while others reward their "lovers” with presents and affection. To complete the picture, jealousy and machismo are also to be found there: females are violently attacked if they copulate with another partner.

The 2009 Global Inspiration Conference 6th - 13th of July, MexicoDear Friend of the Breath,

This year the International Breathwork Foundation (IBF) is having its annual Global Inspiration Conference in Mexico from the 6th to the 13th of July.

The Global Inspiration Conference (GIC) is a very special event, where conscious breathers and breathworkers from around the world meet for one week to share, learn and grow together. It is a wonderful opportunity for personal and professional growth, as well as for making friends and valuable connections.

There has been concerns lately regarding health risks related to travelling to Mexico because of the swine flue. I am delighted to announce today that both the US Department of State and the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office have lifted their recommendation to avoid all nonessential travel to Mexico (see http://travel.state.gov/ travel/cis_pa_tw/pa/pa_3028. html  and
