August Breath & Breathing Newsletter by Dan BruleWelcome to the August 2009 Breath and Breathing Report. I’m writing to you from Moscow. We just finished ten days on the shore of Issyk-kul Lake in Kyrgyzstan, surrounded by spectacular snow-capped mountains. When you feel ready.... by Deva Darichaperhaps this might cast some light on my journey of dismantling, grief and  surrender

----------

Dear Daricha,

Thank you for sharing with me in our brief phone conversation three weeks ago tonight. I glimpsed a world broken, bare, numb, scorched and deeply imprinted with death and devastation.  I heard a distant whisper of your grief but I sensed such depth of pain it left me silent.
Thoughts to Ponder by Charlie BadenhopHealth will follow sickness.
Happy will follow sad.
All life is cyclical.

When you release your musculature and breathe deeply, you are much better able to take in the energy that is available to you in any given moment. This is the essence of healing and high quality health!
altAppreciate others, be happier. Editor’s note: This is a guest post from Steve of Freedom Education.

This strategy works so well and it’s so simple.  You can do this at home, at work, with friends, family or even with anyone at all.

You could even do it with a stranger.  What the heck am I talking about?

I’m talking about feeling good.  There is something you can do right now that will make you feel better almost instantly and here’s how to do it.

Religions and Sin by Paulo CoelhoChristianity: The Chess Game

A young man said to the abbot from the monastery, “I’d actually like to be a monk, but I haven’t learned anything in life. All my father taught me was to play chess, which does not lead to enlightenment. Apart from that, I learned that all games are a sin.

“They may be a sin but they can also be a diversion, and who knows, this monastery needs a little of both,” was the reply.

The abbot asked for a chessboard, sent for a monk, and told him to play with the young man.
Focus on all your senses meditation by Rohi and GitenBioDynamic Breathwork -LIFE CHANGING!-How You Can Benefit from it.

This one is simple to do.
Just take a moment any time you remember to do so - on the subway, in the shower, eating a meal, on the phone, out in nature....
The trick is just to keep remembering to bring yourself back into a moment of being in all your senses...and when you forget again--that's ok--just catch yourself and experience the process all over again!
First, become aware of your body in space--standing, sitting, talking, laying down, walking, and so forth. See what part of your body you feel most easily.
The Four Forces by Paulo CoelhoFather Alan Jones says that building our soul requires Four Invisible Forces, namely love, death, power and time. It is necessary to love because we are loved by God. It is necessary to be conscious of death in order to understand life better. One has to fight in order to grow - but without falling into the trap of the power that we obtain in doing so, because we know that such power is worth nothing. And lastly, it is necessary to accept that our soul – although eternal – is at this moment caught in the web of time, with all its opportunities and limitations.

Breathing is a unique process in our body. It is both under the control of the autonomic nervous system, taking place automatically whether we are aware of it or not. And it is under our conscious control, we are able to alter it with our conscious will.

To share the secrets of breath is to give the gift of life.
I invite you to both learn and share the skills of breathwork in this comprehensive training.
I AM THAT I AM: The First Breath by Jeremy Youst“I Am that I Am.” As you speak this proclamation you reconnect with the Sacred Circle of Life, you voice a powerful prayer of your unique existence, which is the essence of Divine Breath. With this first tender movement of awareness, you breathe for that which inspires you, for that which gives you life. You become pure ceremony re-enacting the greatness and emptiness of All That Is. You breathe from the deepest stillness, from the darkest void. You enter as the “Word of God”, a bare speck of divine sound uttered in deafening silence. You are spoken into being. Woven through earth and time into a human form of biology, you are a love song, a divine whim, hurled out from profound immobility into eons and eons of change and evolution.
